EPIC Youth Councils

Youth campaigners and advocates campaigning for change

Youth campaigners and advocates campaigning for change.

EPIC has two Youth Councils – one for children and young people under 18, and another for those aged 18-25. The EPIC Youth Councils are representative groups of young people with care experience who advise EPIC and national stakeholders on issues and themes of concern to children and young people in care.

EPIC Youth Council members also work on campaigns and projects to improve the outcomes for children and young people in care at national level across thematic areas identified by members and the wider care community.

Want to get involved?

If you are living in care, are in aftercare or have care experience, you can join the EPIC Care Community. In the Care Community you will have time to get to know us, partake in fun activities, as well as projects and campaigns. You can then join a Council if you think it is something you would enjoy and benefit from 😊

Have some questions before joining? You can email them to Aoife, Emma-Louise and Shane at participation@epiconline.ie
