Political and Public Engagement Team

My name is Tara, and I joined the EPIC team in March 2023 as Education Project Manager.

My role is to raise awareness of the situation of care-experienced children and young people in schools, to increase collaboration between professionals in the care and education sectors and to build the capacity and knowledge of teachers to support children in care.

Before joining the EPIC team, I worked with international human rights organisation Front Line Defenders, focused on enhancing the well-being, resilience and protection of human rights defenders at risk around the world. I also have experience as a language teacher in schools in Japan, France and Spain.

My qualifications include an MSc in Education, Children and Youth Studies from UCD and a BA in Applied Languages from University of Limerick.
