Shifana Niyas (she/her)

My name is Shifana, and I joined EPIC in August 2023 as an Operations Assistant. I am responsible for implementing improvement programmes in EPIC’s health and safety system, risk framework and CRM system, and ensuring they are compliant with standard practices and regulations. 

Before joining EPIC, I worked on human rights and socio-political issues in Sri Lanka, India, and Ireland. I also worked in solidarity campaigns with marginalised groups.

My qualifications include a BSc degree in Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenapura and a MPhil degree from Trinity College Dublin. I am a member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), and I’m currently reading my PhD at Trinity College Dublin.
