Jordan Barnett (he/him)

EPIC Advocate | Dublin

My name is Jordan, and I joined the EPIC team in December 2023 as an Advocate. I provide independent advocacy to care-experienced children and young people across Dublin North, Meath, Cavan, Louth, and Monaghan.

What I enjoy most about working for EPIC is having the opportunity to advocate on behalf of children and young people, as well as providing them with the skills to advocate for themselves, by educating them about their rights and ensuring that they know their voice is heard and matters. I think it’s vitally important that children and young people are given the opportunity to know their rights while also having the ability and means to exercise them.

Before joining the EPIC team, I worked in mainstream residential with vulnerable young people for eight years, as both a Social Care Worker and a Childcare Leader. My favourite aspect of working with children and young people is being able to witness their successes and achievements.

My qualifications include a BA (Hons) Social Science and BA Social Studies.
