Research Project
Care to College, a Study into Care-Experienced Students in Higher Education
Researchers are currently investigating the key factors that lead to care-experienced students accessing and completing higher education, as well as examining the reasons why some could not access or complete their higher education course.

Education Project
Take Care: The school experiences of children and young people who have been in care
EPIC’s Education Project began in 2023 following consultation with young people. The project aims to raise awareness of the school experiences of care-experienced children and young people, build teachers knowledge, and increase collaboration.

Research Project
Experiences of State Care Amongst Unaccompanied Minors
This research is underway and seeks to understand the experiences of unaccompanied minors in care in Ireland. It also seeks to ascertain how their rights are being upheld as set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Refugee Convention and Optional Protocol.
