EPIC is not a crisis service. Our office hours are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. If you, or someone you know, needs urgent help or advice, take action by contacting one of the services below.

Women's Aid logo

Confidential information and support for women who experienced abused by current or former boyfriends, partners or husbands. The helpline provides support in other languages via the Language Line facility (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) and for women who are deaf or hard of hearing via a Text Service facility (operational daily, 8am-8pm)

Childline Logo

Childline is for all children and young people in Ireland up to the age of 18. You can talk with Childline’s 24-hour Support Line confidentially, about anything that might be on your mind, and they won’t judge you, give out to you or tell you what to do. They aim to empower, support and protect young people like you every day. Chat online

Samaritans Logo

The Samaritans offer a safe place for you to talk any time, in your own way. They won’t judge you or tell you what to do, they just listen and help you talk through your concerns, worries or troubles. You could be going through something new or maybe you have been struggling to cope for some time, either way, the Samaritans are there for you.

SpunOut logo

Spunout’s Text 50808 is a free, anonymous, 24/7 text service, where you connect with a trained Crisis Volunteer. You can text with the volunteer and share what you feel comfortable with. They will reflect on what you’ve said, and invite you to share at your own pace.

Homeless? Need Help?

If you are under 18 and homeless you can present yourself to the local social work office, or any Garda station if it is after 5pm.

Over 18

Contact your Local Authority Homeless Department to register as homeless by contacting the Homeless Freephone Number
